6j777 Ways of the Qilin — Winning on the Path of the Mythical Creature
PG Soft's Ways of the Qilin slot — a video slot inspired by the magical world of the Qilin from Chinese mythology. A complete guide covering reels, payways, bonus features and budget planning.
What Kind of Slot Is Ways of the Qilin
Theme, style and developer overview
Ways of the Qilin is a 5-reel, 4-row video slot by PG Soft that uses a 1,024-payway system instead of fixed paylines. This means a win is counted whenever the same symbol appears on adjacent reels from left to right — no specific line needs to be hit.
The theme centres on the Qilin, a creature from Chinese mythology known as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity. The visual design features lotus flowers, cloudy backdrops, dragon-influenced symbols and a dominant golden colour palette, making the game visually distinctive.
PG Soft specialises in mobile-first design, so the game runs very smoothly on the 6j777 app or a mobile browser. The game also includes Wild symbols, Scatter symbols and a free spin bonus round that offers greater reward potential than the base game.
How a Spin Works
Choosing your bet, forming wins and the bonus round
The bet size must be set before each spin. In Ways of the Qilin, the total bet per spin is calculated across all payways — but PG Soft's interface shows the total bet directly as a money amount, so there is no need to count paylines separately. At 6j777, the minimum deposit starts from ৳300.
When a spin starts, all 5 reels spin and then stop. The game checks how many consecutive reels from left to right show the same symbol. A win is typically awarded when the same symbol appears on 3 or more reels. The Wild symbol can substitute for any regular symbol.
Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols at once triggers the free spin round. The number of spins and multipliers can increase during this round, and in some cases a retrigger is possible. The game has a defined maximum win, which is primarily achievable through a combination of the free spin round and Wild multipliers.
Bet Selection
The total bet is shown directly as a money amount. Starting with a smaller bet allows you to play longer.
Payway Wins
3 or more of the same symbol on adjacent reels from left to right wins — no specific line needed.
Free Spins
3+ Scatters = free spin round. The best chances for multipliers and retriggers are here.
Who Is This Game Suited For
Budget, session length and volatility explained simply
Ways of the Qilin is known as a medium-to-high volatility slot. Volatility measures how often and how large the rewards tend to be. Medium-to-high means smaller wins may come occasionally, but larger wins may require comparatively more waiting.
This game is therefore better suited to players who are prepared for longer sessions and accept that their balance will go up and down. If you prefer frequent small wins, a lower volatility slot may be a better fit for you.
For players who want a 30–45 minute mobile session and appreciate PG Soft's visual quality, this is a good choice. The 1,024-payway system means each spin carries multiple win possibilities, giving the game a distinct rhythm.
Suitable Players
- Players who are patient with balance swings
- Players who enjoy PG Soft's Asian themes
- Comfortable playing on mobile
- Moderate budget (৳500–৳2,000 per session)
- May not suit players who want small wins on every spin
Practical Tips Before You Play
Demo mode, budget planning and stop limits
- 1 Start in demo mode: Play Ways of the Qilin in demo mode at 6j777 first to get a feel for the game — how fast the reels spin, when the bonus comes, and how the Wild works. No money is needed for this.
- 2 Set a session budget: Decide in advance how much money you will use in a session. For this medium-volatility game, it is generally advisable to keep enough balance for around 40–60 spins.
- 3 Follow your stop limit: Take a break if you lose 50% of your session budget. Continuing to play when tired or frustrated weakens your decision-making.
- 4 Keep your bet size consistent: The tendency to raise bets after a win or lower them after a loss can end your session much faster. Playing at a fixed bet keeps the session going longer.
- 5 Set a win target: If you win double your session budget, consider stopping. Continuing to play risks giving back those winnings.
Common Myths and Mistakes
Widely held slot myths and why they are not true
"If I haven't won in a long time, a win must be due now"
Every spin is completely independent — the result of a previous spin has no effect on the next one. The idea that a slot machine "is ready to pay out" is false. The RNG (Random Number Generator) determines the result fresh on every spin.
"If I win in demo mode, I'll win with real money too"
Both demo and real money modes use the same RNG, but a win in demo does not mean the same result will follow in real play. Demo mode is only for understanding the game, not for predicting outcomes.
Increasing bets after a loss to "recover losses"
Chasing losses is one of the most harmful habits. Raising your bet does not increase the chance of winning on the next spin — it only increases the risk of a larger loss in one spin. Following a stop limit is the straightforward solution.
"Playing at a certain time of day leads to more wins"
The idea that slots "pay out more" at night, in the morning or on specific days is completely unfounded. The game's algorithm does not change with the time or date. Every spin has equal probability, at any time.
How It Differs from Other Slots
Ways of the Qilin features compared with other slot types
Payline Slots
Wins are counted on 20–30 fixed lines. Ways of the Qilin has no such restriction — 1,024 ways work freely.
Megaways Slots
In Megaways slots, the number of symbols per reel changes, so payways can reach into the hundreds of thousands. Ways of the Qilin uses a fixed 4-row layout with a set 1,024 ways.
Classic Slots
3-reel classic slots are simple but have fewer bonus features. Ways of the Qilin's free spins and Wild multipliers add variety to a session.
Cluster Pays Slots
In cluster games, a win is formed by a group of matching symbols. Ways of the Qilin follows a reel-column structure — a more familiar feel.
